Terms of Service

The short version

Car Wrap Shops is a free directory. Using it costs nothing. We introduce drivers to shops and then step out of the way: we are not a party to whatever work gets agreed, and we do not vet, endorse, guarantee or supervise any shop. Shops can claim their listing for free, and can ask to be removed at any time.

Who we are and your agreement

Car Wrap Shops is operated by WrapForce, a sole proprietorship based in Ontario, Canada ("WrapForce," "we," "us"). By using the site, submitting a quote request, or claiming a listing, you accept these terms. If you're agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you're authorized to do so, and "you" means that business. You must be at least 16 years old to submit a quote request.

What the directory is, and what it is not

Listings are compiled from publicly available sources, including businesses' own websites and public business listings. Information can be out of date, incomplete or wrong, and shops open and close. We provide the directory as an information service and make no promise that any listing is accurate, that a shop is licensed, insured, qualified or available, or that a shop will respond at all. Star ratings shown are the public rating from the linked map listing, restated as a number, not a rating produced by us, and we do not host reviews. Each shop page has a "Report wrong info" link, and we appreciate corrections but don't promise to act on any particular report.

Quote requests

Submitting the form requires ticking the consent box. Doing so authorizes us to pass the request and your contact details to the shop or shops indicated. There are two routing modes, and the consent text tells you which one applies: "broadcast" sends your request to every shop shown at once, and "cascade" sends it to the nearest shop first and, if that shop doesn't respond within an hour, hands it to up to three more nearby shops one at a time until one replies. The shop replies to you directly, since your email is set as the Reply-To on the email it receives. Anything you send must be accurate and must be your own contact details, not someone else's. Photos you upload must be yours to share, and by uploading them you give us permission to store them and pass them to the shops the request goes to, for the purpose of quoting the work. A quote request is not a booking, a contract or a price, and any price a shop gives you is between you and that shop.

Dealing with shops is between you and the shop

Any agreement, price, deposit, schedule, work, warranty, dispute or refund is strictly between the customer and the shop. We are not an agent, broker, contractor or party to it, we take no commission on it, and we don't handle any money between you and a shop. If something goes wrong with the work, your recourse is with the shop.

For shop owners: listings and claiming

Listings are free. Claiming a listing is free. We verify a claim by an email sent to an address at your business's own website domain, an SMS or automated voice call to the phone number already on the listing, or by uploading a business licence or utility bill for manual review. You may only claim a listing for a business you actually own or are authorized to represent, and claiming one you don't is a breach of these terms and grounds for us to remove your access. Once verified, you can upload a logo and banner and edit your services and hours; the content you upload must be yours to use, must accurately represent your business, and you give us permission to display it on your listing. We may remove content that is misleading, infringing or unlawful. We may also unverify or remove a listing if a claim turns out to be invalid.

Removal and unsubscribing

Any shop may ask to be delisted entirely by emailing privacy@carwrapshops.com. Every quote request email carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing permanently stops us emailing quote requests to that shop.

Acceptable use

• Don't submit false, spam or automated quote requests.
• Don't impersonate anyone.
• Don't use the site to harvest, scrape, bulk-download or resell listing data or contact details.
• Don't use contact details you receive for marketing unrelated to the request.
• Don't attempt to break, overload or circumvent the site's security, rate limits or bot protection.
• Don't use the site for anything unlawful.

We may block or remove anyone who does any of the above. We enforce rate limits and Cloudflare Turnstile bot protection, and attempting to defeat them is a breach of these terms.

Our content

The site's design, brand, copy and the directory as a compiled work belong to WrapForce. Shop names, logos and marks belong to those businesses.

WrapForce accounts

A shop that claims its listing can continue into a free WrapForce account. Use of the WrapForce app is governed by the separate WrapForce Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, not by these terms.

Disclaimer

The site and the directory are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we make no warranty about any shop or its work.

Limitation of liability

Because this service is free, our total liability for any claim relating to the site is capped at CAD $100. To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for the acts or omissions of any shop or customer. Some jurisdictions don't allow these exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to cover WrapForce for claims and costs that arise from your misuse of the site, your content, or your dealings with a shop or a customer.

Termination

We may suspend or remove access to the site, a listing, or a quote request feature at any time, including for a breach of these terms. You can stop using the site at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada for any dispute, except where the law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the directory evolves. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.

General

These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and WrapForce about the directory. If any part of them turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a provision right away, we haven't given up the right to enforce it later. You may not transfer this agreement to someone else without our consent; we may assign it as part of a transfer of the business.
